tattoo pigment removal aftercare

To ensure the best results please follow all aftercare instructions.

Removing old microblading takes patience and commitment to following pre and aftercare instructions to lighten pigment as fast and safe as possible.

  • It is critical to follow all aftercare instructions to prevent complications, scarring and achieve the best results.

KEEP AREA CLEAN and open to the air. Do not cover with a Band-Aid or anything else. Oxygen aids in faster healing. You should not be touching the area at all besides washing.

WASH brows 2x a day with saline solution provided. By cleansing the treated area with a higher salt content than our bodies it draws the pigment into the superficial scab we are creating.

Apply the saline solution to the treated area for about 10-15 seconds, then dry completely.

ONCE ALL SCABBING HAS NATURALLY FALLEN OFF, apply the aftercare provided by your artist 2x a day for a minimum of 2 weeks. DO NOT start applying the aftercare until all scabbing has completely fallen off. You must keep the area as dry as possible until all scabs have naturally fallen off.

  • DO NOT soak the treated area in water. You can shower as normal but keep the area out of the shower spray the best you can. Do not let the area stay wet for more than a few minutes. NO Soaking in water or the scab will get destroyed.

NO bathing, swimming, saunas, hot tubs, tanning or intense exercise for at lease 10 days.

DO NOT disrupt the scabbing process. No picking or scratching. All scabbing needs to fall off naturally.

If you force or pick a scab off, you will disrupt the process and possibly cause scarring.

  • Lightening and/or removing unwanted pigment is a long process and requires patience.

Expect visible results in 2 to 5 sessions. How many sessions needed will depend on how saturated the pigment is, how deep it was implanted and how much needs to be removed for the desired result.

The day of your treatment: The area feels tender and might feel like it’s been burned. It may look very red and swollen.

Day 1-7: The area will scab over.

Day 8-14: The area remains scabbed over.

Day 15-30: The scab has probably fallen off. The skin still looks pink or discolored and appears fragile, as it’s still healing.

Day 30+: Top layers of the skin are healed. Pigment will continue to lighten.
