Taking care of your lip after the treatment
To ensure the best results please follow all aftercare instructions.
You just made an investment in yourself. A huge factor in how much retention you have depends on how well you take care of your brows the first 10 days after your treatment.

Never touch the procedure area without first washing your hands.
•Day of your appointment: With your lip blush complete we want to prevent a build-up of lymph fluid on your lips. To prevent this from happening, set an alarm for every 30 minutes for the first 2 hours after your appointment, and cleanse your lips with water wipes provided.
After every meal gently rinse and clean lips. Pat dry, then apply ointment. Apply ointment throughout the day as often as needed.
•First 3 days after treatment: Your lips will have a thin film on top of them and can feel tight and possibly sore (this won’t last long). The film indicates that the skin underneath is healing. Continue to clean your lips gently after eating or drinking. You will want to keep your lips moisturized throughout the day.
•4-10 days after treatment: Your lips will complete peeling and It is no longer necessary to cleanse after eating and drinking. Keep lips moisturized.

•Avoid oily, spicy and heavily seasoned food and drink with a straw.
•Keep lips moist at all times.
•When your lips start to shed, DO NOT pick, peel, or pull on the skin.
•Do NOT touch, bite or scratch your lips – touching or picking may cause irritation, infection & loss of pigment.
•No exercise for at least 2-5 days after your treatment due to sweating. Gentle exercise is okay after the first few days.
•Avoid kissing for 3-4 days.
•Do not put lip liner, lipstick, lip gloss, cleansers, lotions etc. on or close to your lips for 1-2 weeks to avoid irritation and cross contamination.
•Wait 2 weeks to have facials, chemical peels or any type of face treatment done.
•Wait 4 weeks to have lip or facial fillers to ensure skin integrity during healing.

•Right after the procedure: Lips appear bold and brighter than what it will heal to. It will heal between 40-60% lighter and softer. Lips will be slightly swollen and tender. Color will darken (oxidize) as the day goes on.
•Day 2: Lips are darker and may still be a little swollen. Lips are feeling tight and dry.
•Days 3-6: Skin is flaking and scabbing and the color is fading.
•Days 7-13: Lips start to feel normal and the flaking is gone.
•Day 14: Lips have completely healed but the color is much lighter than after the procedure.
•Day 28-42: The color has come back! There may be some uneven spots/patchiness. Between 6-8 weeks is the perfect time for a perfecting session!
