Preparing for your Lip Blush Appointment

Congratulations on booking your appointment to enhance your lips!!

Please review and follow the instructions listed below leading up to your appointment.

  • •Stop using any Retin-A or Retinols.

•Botox and fillers should be performed 3-4 weeks before or after your treatment.

VERY IMPORTANT: If you have a history of cold sores you'll need to contact your physician to start taking an anti-viral prescription (Valacyclovir, Denavir (penciclovir), Valtrex or acyclovir (Zovirax)), at least a week BEFORE your proposed procedure.

Cold sore outbreaks are often triggered by stress or trauma to the lips and skin. Therefore if you are a carrier, lip blush will likely cause an outbreak if you do not take an anti-viral medication prior.

  • •Avoid tanning.

•Any tweezing, threading or waxing of the lip area should be done at 5 days before your appointment.

Hydrated lips are necessary to receive the best results. Drink a lot of water leading up to your appointment.

•Use a lip scrub once a day for 3 days before your procedure.

  • •No alcohol or caffeine.

•Avoid aspirin, fish oil, and niacin.

•Drink lots of water and use Chapstick to ensure lips are moisturized properly.

•Double check your GPS to ensure you arrive to your appointment on time.

  • •Dress comfortably.

    •Eat something before your appointment.

•Please don't wear foundation. Eyeliner and lashes/mascara is fine.

•No coffee or energy drinks before your appointment.

•Feel free to bring a set of headphones to listen to during the procedure.

•Take a non-aspirin pain reliever upon arrival if you have a low pain tolerance.
